Daniela Repas was born in Bosnia and spent the first two decades of her life in what was then Yugoslavia. She has lived in multiple cities in Western Europe and the United States as a war refugee, exposing her to different cultures and people from all over the world. In 2004, she was awarded the Lemelson Scholarship, and in 2008 received her BFA in Intermedia from the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Repas is a driving force in
DripDrop Collective, a collaborative video arts group that also includes Thornton C. Wilson III and Todd Tawd. The Platform International Animation Festival awarded the group Best Animated Installation in 2007.
